Changing the Main Character?
Hiya, just had a [hopefully] quick question. You know how when you add someone as a friend (whose character is an alt of their main), they appear on your friend's list as:
"So and So (Main Character)" ? "So and So" being their alternate, and their main character's name being in the parenthesis. 1. How does the game determine your main character? 2. Can you change who the game recognizes as the main character? I never got around to beating all the expansions. So I'm starting out again with Prophecies, Factions, Nightfall and so forth, to experience the story. However, my main character will probably be from Nightfall or Eye of the North. So whenever I add someone as a friend, I don't want it showing up as the first character I made from Prophecies, if I can help it. |

When you see something like "So And So(The Other Guy)" So And So referes to the name you added that person to your f-list with and The Other Guy referes to the character they are on now, not their main char.

When you add someone, the name you add is what you are describing as a 'main' character.
For example, you add Bob to your friends list. Bob decides to play a different character called Tom. On your friends list, it will look like this: Bob (Tom). You could then remove Bob, and put Tom into friends list, and it would look like: Tom. Hope that helps |

Well, I just added someone recently who I've never met before, on any of his characters.
Looked like this: "Name (Other/Main Character)" "Name" = Character I added as a friend "Other/Main Character" = A character of his I haven't met, talked to or seen before? |

There is no Main Character in GW.
The name you enter a person with will always show up. If I add Ironfungus Warrior because that's the character I met, you will appear as Ironfungus Warrior in my friends list. If you switch to your Ranger, you would show up in my friendslist as this: Ironfungus Warrior (Ironfungus Ranger). |

The name you add will be shown in the friendslist. If they play on an other charr, you see it between ().
It has nothing to do with main and alts. If you want your friends to have your main's name in your friendslist, tell them to add that specific name to the friendslist. |
